This dazzling 0.88ct Old Transitional cut certified diamond has exceptional VS1 clarity, beautiful white color, lively sparkle, and vivid fire. Bridging the gap between Old cuts and modern round brilliants, Old Transitional cut diamonds were produced for a very short period of time and are exceptionally rare. This stone is very well cut and exhibits amazing brilliance. This diamond is charmingly vintage, completely unique, and guaranteed to be 100% conflict free! Measuring a substantial 6.1mm in diameter, the diamond has a great spread and large look relative to its weight. A typical 1 carat Old European cut would be about 6.25mm, which appears very comparable in size but would cost about $4500 for the same quality. This is an amazing value proposition for the 0.88ct diamond. High quality and full of brilliant life, it would make a gorgeous and eye catching center for an engagement or right hand ring! Certified by EGL-USA, the diamond received a clarity grade of VS1. Completely eye clean, it is very difficult to find any inclusions even under 10x magnification! The diamond is graded H for color, and faces up bright white with absolutely no yellow. As an Old Transitional cut, the diamond has old style facets and bold sparkle similar to an old European cut but with proportions similar to modern standards and a smaller culet. It absolutely retains the unique charm of a hand cut stone. This diamond is the best of both worlds with old style faceting and also exceptional light performance. Overall, it is a magnificent and very high quality stone, exceptionally clean, beautifully white, and dazzlingly vibrant! This diamond is being sold loose, but it can be mounted upon request. Please browse our collection of semi-mounts or inquire about a one of a kind custom design. With its vintage charm, bright sparkle, and colorful fire, it would make a striking engagement or right hand ring. Make it yours before it’s gone!
